KNON presents the biggest event of the year, KNON’s 11^th Annual Latin Energy Festival Sunday June 10th at the Fair Park Exposition Plaza from Noon to 8 pm. Appearing live will be Jay Perez, Fito Olivares, Gary Hobbs, Angelina, MC Magic, Snow the Product, II Kold Syndicate, George Patino, Tora, Los Reyes Del Sabor, Ray Reyna, and more.

KNON is pleased to announce the KNON CRAWFISH BLUES & ZYDECO PARTY will be happening Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 26th at the Sons of Hermann Hall! Doors open at 6 pm for delicious spicy crawfish by the pound from Crawdad's of Dallas, being sold to benefit KNON. Jimbreaux and Zydeco Mike will be playing some of their favorite zydeco tunes while you nom down on your bugs. Then, the music starts at 8 pm with the great R&B and blues of BLUES BOY BO, followed by the awesome sounds of THE ZYDECO STINGRAYS!

KNON takes the Heavy 89.3 format to Fort Worth for some live Metal Madness. Join the Hard Time Radio Crew Saturday June 9 for Cyanide Crisis, Violent Intentions featuring Thrashin' Alan on vocals in their long awaited return, Echos of One, Interment, and Primordius. What a great accolade for our 28 year anniversary! But KNON staff, volunteer DJs and their cohosts and volunteers aren't the only parties who get the credit... the businesses who underwrite with us and YOU, the listeners, are also very important factors in KNON getting an award of such esteem. 2011 is an outstanding year for KNON! We appreciate the lauding of the diversity of our programming from the print media, and the good folks at the Dallas Observer get our appreciation right back for recognizing KNON as "Best Radio Station" in their "Best of Dallas" awards issue.
